In 2014, David published "Whoop and Drive ‘er!" - Growing Up in Aroostook County, Maine.  It is a humorous, illustrated memoir of growing up in Maine in the 1940s and 50’s and his life “away.” It is a 44-page “art” book with 41 related photos, drawings and paintings, and it is highly endorsed by distinguished writers Carl Little and Kathryn Olmstead. David Estey Encore is a 31-page book produced by Carver Hill Gallery in Rockland, Maine of David’s entire solo exhibit there in 2013 of improvisational paintings on Yupo. David Estey Drawings, Paintings, and Prints was published in 2008 to represent the best of his recent work, mostly abstraction. The book has an introduction by Suzette McAvoy, former Chief Curator of the Farnsworth Art Museum and now Director of the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. It has 42 pages with 32 reproductions. It is available directly from the artist for $25, including tax and shipping, and at some local bookstores.
