The Art of David Estey: Books

Because of increased interest, I reprinted a book of my work that I published in 2008, David Estey Drawings, Paintings & Prints, with an introduction by Suzette McAvoy, former Chief Curator of the Farnsworth Art Museum and now Director of the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. It is 42 pages with 32 reproductions representing the best of my recent work, mostly abstraction. Many of the pieces are on this website. The book is available for $25 directly through me (includes tax and shipping) or from Aarhus Gallery, and Mr. Paperback in Belfast, plus the Left Bank Books in Searsport, Maine.

David Estey Drawings is 80 pages, containing over 100 of my best pieces over 50 years, complete with commentary and resume highlights. The work ranges from complete realism to total abstraction, with a lot of strong, charcoal figure drawings and some portraits.

David Estey Landscapes is 40 pages, containing 35 full-color reproductions of paintings and four drawings done over the last ten years in Maine and North Carolina, complete with commentary and resume highlights.

David Estey Portraits is 40 pages, containing 55 out of hundreds of portrait drawings and paintings of family, friends and celebrities over 60 years, complete with commentary and resume highlights, starting with my self portrait at eight years old.
